Cultural Arts Program (CAP)

The Cultural Arts Program (CAP) is a comprehensive and sequential arts instruction program offering yearlong after-school and Saturday classes in a range of art forms that is open to all. These classes teach students fundamental skills in dance, music, drama and visual arts to provide them with an avenue for creative expression and a vehicle for self-knowledge. Class levels range from beginner to pre-professional. Classes are offered on Saturdays to 200 students ages 2-21 and adults.

Program Goals

* To provide our students with an avenue for creative expression
* To heighten self-esteem by creating high quality professional and nurturing environments in which all students can excel
* To teach students technical skills to enable them to express themselves with grace and clarity

Because of Ifetayo's strong belief that every child should have an opportunity to discover his or her talents, auditions are not held for the Cultural Arts Program. Scholarships and fee waivers are available for eligible students.

Proper Attire and Class Supplies

Students must come to all classes prepared with supplies and in proper attire. All Ifetayo classes require that students bring a pen, 2 pencils and notebook for notes (for students enrolled in multiple classes 3 & 5 subject notebooks are recommended). All class attire is to be within school uniform color code. See below for specific attire for each class.

All Students should have their names in all of their items including ballet slippers, lapas, notebooks, etc.
